ParklandOne - FAQ

What is a ParklandOne account?

All faculty, staff, and students receive a ParklandOne account for accessing Parkland online systems, such as connect.parkland.edu, my.parkland, Self Service, email, Wi-Fi, Microsoft Office 365, and Cobra Learning. It is called ParklandOne because you set up a single secure password that will be used for access to most Parkland systems. Users will also use their ParklandOne credentials to sign onto Parkland computers.

What is my ParklandOne username?

Your username was sent to your alternative email address on file at Parkland.. You can also look it up by going to https://webapp.parkland.edu/usernamelookup/. For more information, please see ParklandOne - What is my Username?.

What is my initial default ParklandOne password?

It is a randomized 12-character password that was sent to your alternative email address on file at Parkland. If this password is not recognized OR if it tells you that it is expired, please contact the Tech Service Desk at 217-353-3333.

How do I access ParklandOne Password Station to enroll my account, reset a forgotten password, change my password to something else, or update my mobile phone number?

When will my ParklandOne Password Expire?

ParklandOne passwords will expire one year from the last password creation date (this includes default passwords as well). 30 days prior to the expiration, you will start seeing a popup message after you have signed onto connect.parkland.edu or my.parkland.edu which will show you your password expiration date. It will advise you to change your password (simply click on the Change Password button). For NON-ENROLLED AND EXPIRED ParklandOne accounts, you will need to contact the Tech Service Desk at 217-353-3333. For more information, please see ParklandOne - Password Expiration .

What if my username has changed due to marriage, etc.?

Once you have completed the necessary forms (see links below) and the College has assigned you a new username, you will need to enroll your new account in ParklandOne Password Station. Please note that name changes for students are usually only processed by Admissions and Records in-between semesters so as not to interrupt your access to Parkland systems. Once complete, go to https://one.parkland.edu/ and enter your new username. If you are not sure what it is, you can look it up by going https://webapp.parkland.edu/usernamelookup/. You will then need to then follow the steps outlined in ParklandOne - How to Enroll in the Password Management System .

Students: Change of Name or SSN Form

Employees: Employee Record Change Form Once HR updates your record, you will then need to submit an Employee Account Request / Change Form to the Tech Service Desk.

Is my ParklandOne username and password all that is needed to access Parkland systems?

In addition to your ParklandOne credentials, many Parkland systems will also require multifactor authentication (MFA) for security purposes. Parkland uses a system called Okta for this. Please navigate to https://login.parkland.edu to set up your Okta account or make changes to your existing settings/factors. For more information on Okta, please see Okta - Multifactor Authentication FAQ .
