wePresent MirrorOp Installation for Audio (Mac)

These instructions are for anyone who would like to mirror audio from their Mac to a wePresent device using MirrorOp. Note that this article contains instructions for both Apple Silicon and Intel-based Macs. Please follow the instructions for the Mac you are using.

If you haven't already done so, you will first need to install the MirrorOp application which is used in conjunction with the wePresent device. wePresent MirrorOp Software Installation (Mac)

Audio Driver Installation:

Note: To find out if you have an Apple Silicon or Intel-based Mac, please see: How to Find macOS Version and Hardware Information

Apple Silicon Mac Audio:

1. In a browser, navigate to https://www.barco.com/en/support/mirrorop/drivers and download the Mac OS audio driver for M1 device.

2. Open the Finder located on the dock. Click the Downloads folder and double click Driver.pkg.

3. You may get a message saying, "The package cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer."

If so, Click the Apple Logo at the top-left corner of the screen and select System Preferences.

Click Security and Privacy, at the bottom of the General tab click Open anyway.

(You will need to click the lock to make changes to these settings).

4. Continue through the installation prompt for the Blackhole audio driver.

5. Once the driver installation is complete, go to System Preferences by clicking the Apple Logo at the top-left corner

of the screen, select Sound, and change the output to Blackhole (2ch).

Intel-Based Mac Audio:

1. In order to download the driver for an Intel-based Mac, you will first need to connect to a wePresent device with MirrorOp.

2. While connected to a wePresent device, Click the speaker icon to unmute it.

3. This should prompt you to install the Soundflower audio driver on your system. After clicking OK, open the

Finder located on the dock. Click the Downloads folder and double click Soundflower.pkg.

4. You may get a message saying, "The package cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer."

If so, Click the Apple Logo at the top-left corner of the screen and select System Preferences.

Click Security and Privacy, at the bottom of the General tab and click Open anyway.

(You will need to click the lock to make changes to these settings).

4. Continue through the installation prompt for the Soundflower audio driver.

4. Once the driver installation is complete, go to your System Preferences by clicking the Apple Logo in the top left corner

of the screen, select Sound, and change the output to Soundflower (2ch).
