Parkland College - Printing Information for BYOD Courses

Parkland sections that end in a "T" for Technology indicates that it is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) course and that students will need to bring their own laptop to class. Students will need to follow the instructions listed below in order to send print jobs from their laptop to the printer located within the BYOD classroom.

Printing in BYOD rooms utilizes a program called PaperCut Mobility Print. If you are needing to print a paper for your BYOD class in your BYOD classroom, you will need to install this on your personal device. Mobility Print is available for Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Chrome OS. Please note that you will only be able to send jobs to the BYOD printer while you are on campus and connected to the Parkland network.

Once you have read through the instructions in this article, click on the link below to access the Parkland College Mobility Print website and download the installer. It must be installed while you are connected to the Parkland network. Once the printer is installed on your personal device, you will not need to come back to this website. Moving forward, just print like you normally do. If you have multiple printers installed on your machine, be sure to select the  "Parkland BYOD Printing" option. You will then need to release the job from the computer located next to the printer in your BYOD classroom. Sign into that release station computer with your ParklandOne username and password. You will see a list of all the jobs that you have sent (but not yet printed) in the last 24 hours (jobs not claimed within 24 hours will disappear). Select the job/s you want to print and click the Print button.
