Wi-Fi - Connect to "PCNet" on Windows (for employees)

Intended for use by Parkland employees for both personal devices and Parkland-owned devices. 

•Logins with ParklandOne credentials will be stored and retained preventing the need to authenticate on a daily basis.
•Traffic on the PCNet SSID is encrypted. (Note: user must accept the SSL certificate if prompted).

•Personal devices will be given limited access to Parkland network resources. 

Note: When first connecting to PCNet, additional information must be provided.  Enter your ParklandOne username and password when prompted for Identity and Password. If there is a CA Certificate field, you will need to select, "Don't Validate". Leave all other entries blank or at the default.

 

  1. In the lower right hand corner, click on the wireless symbol.
       Select PCNet

  2. Select “PCNet” from the list of networks.
       

  3. Check the "Connect automatically" box.
    Select "Connect Automatically"

  4. Enter your ParklandOne username and password.
       Enter your ParklandOne Username and Password

  5. Wait for the Connected confirmation dialog box.
       

  6. Close the settings window.
    Click the X to exit settings

 

The computer should now automatically connect to the PCNet network whenever the machine is on campus.
