Wi-Fi - Connect to "PCNet" on a Chromebook

"PCNet" as opposed to "Parkland" is the recommended SSID for all student and employee Chromebook users on campus.

 Click on the Quick Settings Tray on the bottom right of your computer to bring up the menu. It is the button that has the time, battery level, etc.

Select the triangular Wi-Fi symbol to bring up the wireless network options.

Wi-Fi icon

Select PCNet from the list of available networks.

This will being up a prompt and you will need to fill in some information.You may have to scroll through the settings to see the required items listed below. Leave all other items as blank or the default.

SSID: PCNet

EAP Method: PEAP
Server CA Certificate: Do Not Check
Identity: <Your ParklandOne Username>
Password: <Your ParklandOne Password>

SettingsPage

Click Connect.

You should have successfully connected to PCNet. Credentials will be stored and retained preventing the need to authenticate on a daily basis.
