Microsoft Support & Recovery Assistant for Office 365

After installing Office 365 on your personal device, you will need to sign in with your Parkland College email address. This will allow for the subscription tied with your account to activate, and you will be able to use Office 365 during your time at Parkland. However, if you sign in with another email (ie. gmail or yahoo), it will consider this the primary email to look for a subscription on. In order to fix this, the following steps should be followed:

1. Go to and select Install Office Apps and choose Other Install Options from the drop down menu.

2. On the next page that appears, select Troubleshoot Installation at the bottom of the screen.

3. A pop up will appear and there will be a long rectangular blue box that says Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant for Office 365 as pictured below. Select this and run the installation.

Follow the steps provided with this tool. If this does not work, restart the machine and run the troubleshooter once more. After the troubleshooter fixes the issue, sign in to one of the Office 365 programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) with your full parkland College email address and your ParklandOne password. This will active your subscription.
