Cobra Learning: Student Roles
There are three student roles in Cobra Learning: Student, Incomplete Student, and Past Student.
This is the standard role that students have when enrolled in courses. Students have access to their registered courses in Cobra 1 (one) day prior to the first day of class through 16 (sixteen) days after the last day of class. Students with this role have access to all course materials made available to them by the instructor. At the end of the 16-day extension of the course, they will lose access to the course materials and become a Past Student. (See below).
Students who have completed a course with a grade will become a Past Student in that course and it will be part of their Cobra Learning course listings for that semester. They will be able to access that course during their time at Parkland, but their access will be restricted to the Grade report only. They will not have access to any prior assignments or course materials, but will have their full grade report including any comments that typically accompany the report.
Students who have completed 75% of the required coursework and submitted an Incomplete Grade contract will receive a grade of “I” for the semester. At the end of the 16-day extension of the course, the student access will switch to that of an Incomplete Student and they will retain access to all necessary and instructor-provided materials which are needed to complete the course. The access will be changed to Past Student when the grade has been changed from an I to an earned letter-grade.
