Office 365 (Online) - Sharing a Document
How to share a document or file in the online versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
Quickly and easily share a document or file with Office 365 Online
Sharing from online Office applications can be completed with the following steps:
- At the top, click Share
- Type in the email address(es) of the people you would like to share the document or file with or you can click Get a link to send a link manually.
- If you want to allow access to the file without requiring the user to sign in, deselect Require sign-in You will want to deselect this if the recipient does not have a Microsoft account.
- You may also want to restrict the permissions to Can View unless you want to allow users to edit the file.
