Cobra Learning - About dropbox
The Dropbox tool enables you to submit assignments in Cobra Learning, eliminating the need to mail, fax, or email your work to instructors. Simply upload your submission to the appropriate dropbox folder and submit.
About Dropbox
Access the Dropbox tool
- Click Dropbox on the navbar.
- Click on the Dropbox link from within the Content module.
Submit to a dropbox folder
- On the Dropbox Folders page, click on the folder you want to submit to.
- Click Add a File to browse for the file you want to submit. You can attach files from your local computer or storage device or OneDrive account.
- You can also Record Audio as feedback. When you finish a recording, click Add.
- Enter any Comments you want to submit with the file.
- Click Submit.
- Wait for a confirmation that your submission was successful before closing your browser or navigating away from the page.
Note An upload may be required to submit to a dropbox. Your instructor may also elect to have you submit your assignment in the comments box instead.
Any rubrics which submissions are evaluated with are listed on the submission page so you can see how submissions are evaluated.
Submitting group work to a dropbox folder
Any user in your group can submit files to the dropbox folder when given a group assignment by the instructor. The Submissions column indicates how many files your group has submitted.
- On the Dropbox Folders page, click on the group dropbox folder you want to submit to. Group dropbox folders have a Group icon beside their names.
- Click Add a File to browse for the file you want to submit. You can attach files from your local computer or storage device or OneDrive account.
- You can also Record Audio as feedback. When you finish a recording, click Add.
- Enter any Comments you want to submit with the file.
- Click Submit.
Reviewing your dropbox folder submission history
A list of submitted files displays on the Submission History page. You can view each file’s size, submission date, whether comments were included with it, and who has retrieved it. For group dropbox folders, you can check who submitted each file.
- Unread The file has not been retrieved.
- Read The file has been retrieved. (It may not have been read or graded.)
View submission history
- On the Dropbox Folders page, click View History.
- Select the Folder you want to view from the drop-down list.
Viewing feedback in Dropbox
Feedback (including grades) associated with group dropbox folders applies to the entire group.
- On the Dropbox Folders page, click the View Feedback link in the Feedback column beside the folder containing your submission.
- View your grade, rubric assessment, and feedback comments.
- Click Download All Files to download feedback attachments.
- When you are finished viewing feedback, click Done.
