Yealink Teams Headset - Restart Headset (device)
The Yealink headsets for Teams may, from time to time, drop their connection to the workstation that they are assigned to. This does not happen often, but we have found that restarting the headset itself corrects the issue and restores the connection between the headset and Teams. This KB article will show you how to restart the device.
Please ensure that your headset is resting on its charging cradle before following the instructions below.
- Open the Yealink Software by clicking the desktop icon.
- Once the software is open, select Device Recovery as pictured below. If your screen does NOT look like the image below, click here for alternative images and instructions that capture the latest version of the Yealink software.
- On the following menu, select Reboot Device.
- Once the status indicator light on the headset itself returns to green, the device is reconnected and ready for use. The restart should take less than one minute.
Alternative Instructions for the Latest Software Version
1. Click on the Yealink Desktop icon.
2. Select your device. This should be the one and only option. Note: The model indicated in the screenshot below may not accurately reflect your device.
3. The next screen should list several details about the headset itself. On the left side of the screen, select Device Support.
4. Near the bottom of this final page, select Reboot Device. The reboot should take less than one minute and the indicator light on the headset will return to green once it has completed.
