Office 365 (Office on the Web) - Sharing a Document

How to share a document or file in the online versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.

1. At the top right of the document window, click Share.

2. Type in the name(s) or email address(es) of the people you would like to share the file with - OR - you can select Copy Link to send a link manually instead.

To limit permissions, select the box that says, Only the people you specify who have this link can edit. This will allow you to deselect the box that says Allow Editing. Click Apply.

Click Send.
