Setting your account preferences

Access the Account Settings tool

  1. Click Account Settings from your personal menu on the minibar.
  2. Use the tabs across the top of the page to view and edit display options:

Account Settings

Settings on this tab are not related to a specific tool.

General Settings

Enables you to change the email address where you receive system notifications.

Pronouns

Enables you to set your preferred pronouns to display in your profile card, which appears on discussions, dropbox, and user progress.  Check the box, then select the second radio button and type your pronouns in the box.

Font Settings

The basic system font type is Lato and you can select from four sizes: small, medium, large and huge.

Reading Content

While in places such as the discussion board you will automatically mark comments and replys as read just by scrolling down the page. Here you can check the box to not automatically do that. To then mark those comments as read there is a dropdown arrow next to the name of the person that has made the comment or reply and within that dropdown there is an option to "Mark Post as Read."  If you use assistive technology, you may wish to disable this feature by checking the box.

Video Settings

Select Optimize video presentation for programmatically-driven assistive technologies if you use assistive techonology, such as a screen reader, to navigate the web. This option ensures that your assistive technology can detect embedded videos; it does not affect the accessibility of specific video players.

Locale & Language
