Adobe Acrobat Sign - eSignature Guide

Adobe Acrobat Sign, also know as Adobe Sign or Acrobat Sign, allows Parkland employees to send, track, manage, and sign agreements electronically. Adobe Sign meets or exceeds security and legal compliance standards, therefore, the e-signatures are legally binding. It is an entire software product unto itself and is separate from the Acrobat software and the Adobe Suite. Adobe Sign is typically used for legally binding contractual agreements and those agreements can contain Adobe Acrobat PDF documents, Word documents, scanned paper documents, and/or documents and images from other sources.
Access and Usage
Similar to Parkland's previous eSignature tool, DocuSign, there is a yearly limit and cost involved each time a document is sent for a signature.Therefore, it is intended to be used by employees who are needing to initiate signatures on legal agreements as opposed to forms that are internal to the College.
Only a subset of employees have rights to create and send documents/agreements for a signature via Adobe Sign. If that level of access is needed, a Service Request must be submitted to Campus Technologies. Those with access will navigate to https://account.adobesign.com. It is single sign on (SSO) and users will log in with their ParklandOne username and password and satisfy the multifactor authentication prompt.
Please note that most individuals, especially those who are sending internal Parkland forms for a signature, can simply send Adobe Acrobat PDFs and the approver can sign using the Adobe Acrobat "Fill & Sign" option. It is confusing given that the names are similar, but the Adobe Acrobat Fill & Sign tool (pictured below) is different than Adobe Sign which is a robust eSignature product.
