Office 365 (Outlook 2013 / 2016 for Win): How to Change the Default Duration (30 minutes) of Events on your Calendar

New appointments default to 30 minute increments. Here is how you can change the duration.
  1. Select Calendar.
  2. Select the View tab.
  3. The time scale selection is located in the Arrangement section of the ribbon.
  4. Click the drop down arrow and make your selection.
  5. This changes how your calendar is displayed and the default lengths for all appointments.
